King Charles and Queen Camilla are ending their busy day in New York City with a festive reception.
On Wednesday, April 29, the King, 77, and Queen, 78, wrapped their whirlwind day in New York at a Greater Together reception.
The royals spent Wednesday in N.Y.C. for their four-day state visit to the U.S., and the celebration was held at Christie's, a British-founded auction house.
King Charles and Queen Camilla stepped out together at the event hosted in partnership with The King's Trust, a charity that the sovereign founded in 1976 to help vulnerable young people. The gathering showcased the U.K.'s cultural impact on New York through the arts, sports and community initiatives, including the efforts of King's Trust America to transform the lives of young people.

The royal couple joined British Ambassador Sir Christian Turner in touring the "Great Together Soft Power Display" at the soiree. The curation of digital, physical and holographic works illustrates the relationship between Britain and the U.S. through institutions including BAFTA, the British Fashion Council, the British Galleries of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which is currently running a production of Hamlet at The National Theatre in London.
The King and Queen met King's Trust Global Ambassadors at the bash, plus young people from Chicago and New York who have participated in the organization's Enterprise Challenges and Get Hired initiative, which empowers youth with skills to enter the workforce.
The monarch and his wife also mingled with guests from the worlds of the arts, culture and philanthropy.

The evening is due to conclude with remarks from Ambassador Turner, followed by the King.
It's been a full day in N.Y.C. for the British royals, whose schedule began with a joint visit to the National September 11 Memorial. It marked King Charles and Queen Camilla's first visit to the memorial, which opened in 2011 and honors the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks.
The couple then split for solo engagements, including a visit to the local community organization Harlem Grown and a U.K.-U.S. trade and business event for the King, while the Queen attended a celebration of literature at the New York Public Library, connecting to her literacy advocacy.
