Kat Timpf is expecting her second baby, more than a year after she underwent a double mastectomy for breast cancer.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Gutfeld! panelist, 37, announced via a clip of her stand-up comedy shared on Instagram that she was expecting her second child with husband Cameron Friscia.

“Are you guys surprised?” Timpf asked, after opening her jacket to reveal a baby bump. “So was I.”

“I shouldn’t have been, though, because I’m married to a veteran, and the Army always does seem to take a while to pull out of something,” she joked. “What he said would be a quick little excursion is looking more like an 18-year commitment.”

“My birthday is coming up next month, and I told him, I said, ‘Babe, you don’t even have to get me anything. Better yet, get yourself something. A vasectomy. I’ve had enough surgery. It’s someone else’s f---ing turn.’ ”

“Huge thanks to the 1,500ish besties at my shows this wknd for keeping my secret, 🤰” she captioned the Instagram clip. “So awesome to be the portal for a new little soul. 😎🥰”

Speaking to PEOPLE last year, the Fox News personality shared that she first noticed something might be wrong just weeks before welcoming her now 19-month-old son in February 2025.

“I noticed a bump on my nipple and I didn’t really think that much of it because your boobs start to look crazy when you’re pregnant,” she shared with PEOPLE.

“I showed my doctor, not expecting anything. She kind of jumped back and sent me to go get an ultrasound… and then they recommended I get a biopsy,” the comedian said.

Timpf was diagnosed with stage zero breast cancer, also known as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), where the cells that line the milk ducts of the breast have become cancerous, but have not spread into surrounding breast tissue.

“I was completely in shock. I kind of blacked out because I wasn’t able to process what was happening. And then I went into labor that night,” she recalled, sharing that she and her husband welcomed their first child, a son, just 15 hours later.

Since her breast cancer was detected early, Timpf was presented with two options: a double mastectomy or a lumpectomy with additional treatment and medication.

“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do — but it was an easy decision,” she admitted, knowing that she wanted to do whatever she could to minimize the risk of her cancer returning.

By March 19, she opted to undergo the double mastectomy.

“I got the mastectomy roughly a month after I gave birth,” she said. “So that meant the first six weeks of my son’s life, I wasn’t sure exactly what my prognosis was.”

“It’s scary, but it’s empowering,” she continued. “Losing your breasts forever is devastating, especially when you just gave birth and everyone asks you about breastfeeding. It’s heartbreaking. But I keep reminding myself that I chose this over the alternative. Because the alternative would’ve been much worse for me.”

Timpf appeared alongside her sister Julia on Fox News on Thursday, Oct. 1, to announce that Julia would be running the New York City Marathon to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She also discussed being pregnant after undergoing a mastectomy.

“It’s very exciting, but obviously a very, very difficult thing for our family,” she said. “It is very difficult to be going through this second pregnancy without my breasts.”

“This is why this is so great that Julia’s doing this,” Timpf continued. “If we’re able to raise money because this happened, then it’s not just a negative thing anymore. It’s a positive thing, giving us the opportunity to help other women and other families.”

“Also, I don’t have to do any running,” she teased.
