Gold medalist Alysa Liu had a fan moment when she met Daniel Radcliffe and posed for pictures. Radcliffe met Liu backstage at the Today show on March 2. It seems like the figure skater is a huge fan of the Harry Potter star, and fans are loving the sweet and heartwarming reaction between the two iconic celebrities.

The internet has reacted to Daniel Radcliffe meeting gold medalist Alysa Liu. The 20-year-old couldn’t stop beaming with happiness as she met the Harry Potter star. Today shared a video of Liu looking visibly excited and spellbound as Radcliffe entered the room to give her and her gold medals a big hug. Liu excitedly exclaimed, “Oh my Lord,” upon seeing Radcliffe in person.

Radcliffe hugged her and then gave her a high-five to congratulate the figure skater on her recent success. The actor exclaimed, “You did it, yes.” In another clip shared by Today, Liu offered her gold medals to Radcliffe, asking him to wear them around his neck. She said during their photo op, “I wasn’t going to ask.” However, the 36-year-old actor declined by stating, “It feels like stolen valor.”

Finally, Radcliffe held her gold medals as they posed for more photos together. The Now You See Me 2 star then told the gold medalist, “You being you was the most joyful thing I’ve watched,” referring to her gold medal-winning performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Radcliffe and Liu’s interaction with each other. The US Figure Skating Instagram handle commented, “gold snitch catcher (handshake emoji) gold medalist,” accompanied by a broom and gold medal emoji. For those unversed, Radcliffe’s iconic character, Harry Potter, was known to be an ace Quidditch player in the popular film franchise.
